Collection of information relating to:

- Bee products definition, quality and characterization based on their composition and biological activity
- Bee products contamination and adulteration (detection, level of residues…)
- the technologies and equipment used for apiary activities in temperate, cold and tropical climates, both for honey production and other additional products: wax, pollen, beebread, royal jelly, propolis, venom and larvae.
- Impact of climate change on beekeeping activities

Collaboration with new experimental fields:

- non invasive techniques and monitoring of bee colonies with use of electronic material (GPS, GIS…)
- biological specifications for breeding and production of biological material
- bee products pharmaceutical specification (within the context of apitherapy)
- how to manage African bees
- pollination (in open fields and in greenhouses)
- honey harvest with melipones

Experiments, then popularisation of these informations through conferences, symposia and Internet

Consultations for the development of the bee-products within the framework of the norms with various organisations such as Codex alimentarius, ISO, WHO, FAO, FEEDEM, IHC, HIPA, European Union,...

Exchanges with the six other standing commissions on treatment-free beekeeping, natural beekeeping, technical innovation in monitoring honey bee colonies, adulteration of bee products …, for a better understanding of the beekeeping world and a better choice of technical methods and equipment.
